I am basically your average male. 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, I have a wife that loves to bake, and I have 2 kids that always leave food on their plates just calling my name to polish it off.
I started off as a scrawny guy that played around with the weights at age 14. I graduated high school at the age of 18 and only weighed 123 pounds. I was your typical hard-gainer. I tried everything to put on weight. I drank all those shakes loaded with calories and ate enormous amounts of food.
Finally things started to work. When I was 20, I broke the 150lb mark and was still around 6% body fat. Over the next 3 years I would make it up to 180lbs of pure lean muscle, without any drugs. I was looking great!
Then I got married, turned 25, had kids (well my wife had them, but I helped), had a stressful job working over 16 hours a day and coming home and thinking about work all night.
I started to pack on fat. Not huge amounts mind you, but roughly 20lbs. Let me tell you, that time of my life sucked. I was definitely feeling depressed and ashamed about the state of my physical condition. Especially since I was a personal trainer.
I knew that I couldn't go on like that. I kept thinking of how good it felt to be in tip top shape. I was definitely happier then and more confident. I had more energy and did not need to sleep as much. I loved life.
I had to get that back. That's when I discovered the power hidden within me. Once I tapped into it, there was no stopping me. I felt like the most powerful person on the planet. I knew that I could do anything that I wanted and I was going to have the body not only that I once had, but even better.
